Community Supported Agriculture

More than a veg box

We run a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) scheme. It works a bit like a veg box scheme BUT by committing to a whole season of veg boxes from our farm you offer much greater support to ‘us’ your local growers as well as securing a whole seasons worth of food for your family. Together we share all the rewards and joy of small-scale ecological farming. Join the real local food revolution!

What’s special about our CSA?

What is CSA? How does it work? And what makes being part of Off-Grid Organics so special? Community Supported Agriculture is a unique model for local food production and distribution that connects a farmer with its community to form a sustainable system for local food production and consumption.

Add our hens Organic eggs or a bunch of fresh flowers from our garden to your veg box

Get the very freshest, seasonal veg

Our veg is always picked and delivered within 24 hours! Harvested at peak ripeness, ensuring maximum flavour and nutritional value. So unlike some of the veg in the supermarkets that have spent days in storage before they get to your plate, our veg is nutritionally dense and packed full of flavour!

And yes, whilst eating seasonally means that collectively we need to get a little creative over what to with all those tomatoes in August! Buying locally can also encourage us to be a little more adventurous in the kitchen. Our members have enjoyed trying lots of new recipes…and we’ve got plenty of ideas to share with you.

We grow a wide variety of crops and you can expect to find between 7-10 different varieties every week that will change as we move through the seasons.

Feel connected to where, how and by who your food is grown

This is sadly a rare thing in todays globalised food system. So not only will you be cutting literally thousands of food miles-you’ll also be getting to know your local grower and how the food you are feeding your family is produced.

As a CSA member you’ll be the first to be welcomed to on farm events, supper clubs and invited to come and take part here on the farm should you feel like rolling your sleeves up with us, making some new friends and learning something new! Absolutely not a requirement though! We’re very happy to do the ‘dirty’ work and I’ll keep you up to date with what’s happening in the field via our newsletter.

Support farming practices that are better for our environment

Being a part of our CSA is to value sustainable farming and supporting practices which prioritize your health and well-being and the health of our soils. We are certified organic, so all our veg is Grown without chemical (or mechanised) inputs the market garden. As well as operating Off-Grid, our short supply chain and local delivery cuts thousands of associated food miles and we use only biodegradable packaging. Meaning your beg box arrives with the smallest carbon footprint possible!

Together we’ll help get healthy, organic food to families in Somerset who need it most

As a CSA member you have the chance to help me to deliver nutrient rich, organic veg to families in Somerset who are experiencing food poverty. I want to help to make access to good, local food accessible to everyone in our community. We are setting up links with local community food projects and will be working alongside them to donate fresh n healthy food direct from our market garden to those families in our community who need it most.
